I will soon be working on the last of the major edits for the final chapters of Highfell Grimoires. After I finish these, I’ll be working with Nicole Kimberling and her Blind Eye Books staff and interns to polish the novel more finely.
This process has taught me a lot about pacing and controlling tension in a novel, and thanks to my editor’s hard work and red pen (well, okay, she uses a pencil), my novel will have both pacing and tension. I only hope that the lessons I’ve learned here will be ones I’ll be able to apply to my next project.
